Son of media veteran Pavan Malhotra who’s a pioneer in channels, movies, music and publishing business, Rayan was determined to make his mark on the world outside his father’s shadows. From a young age, he had a strong fascination with technology and he even recalls cutting and pasting relevant tech articles in his scrapbook as a child. From his school days, he started publishing articles on technology in various newspapers & magazines. 

Rayan started working at the young age of 17, after a pivotal incident in his teens that taught him the value of money. He wanted an expensive pair of boots that his parents denied him, post which he took up a distant summer internship with the intention of earning money himself. Every day he daily had to travel for two hours and work for over 10 hours as an intern and he soon realized how much effort and hard work is required to earn even a little money which he was planning to waste on buying some shoes.  This incident changed his outlook towards life, money and time as he also realized that for him to fulfill his bigger dreams & goals.
